Welcome to Poker with Friends

Poker with Friends is a private Texas Hold'em app for a group of friends. You can play tournaments and cash games right in your browser.

Features

• Tournament Games: Compete in structured tournaments with increasing blinds and elimination-based gameplay.
• Cash Games: Buy in, cash out between hands, and rebuy when your chips run out.
• Real-Time Updates: The table updates live as players act.
• Spectating: Any signed-in member can watch games in progress. Only seated players and admins can chat.
• User Profiles: Track your balance, view game history, and manage your account.
• Notifications: Stay informed with real-time notifications for game events and updates.
• Admin Tools: Admins can adjust balances, disable accounts, send password-reset links, cancel games with refunds, review chat reports and remove chat messages.

How It Works

Create an account, receive your starting balance, and join a game. You can create new games or join existing ones. Once a game starts, play classic Texas Hold'em poker with automated dealing, betting rounds, and pot distribution. All game logic is handled server-side to ensure fair play.

About Balances

Balances track amounts among friends. The platform does not hold, settle or pay out money. No real-money wagering happens through the app. See the Terms of Service.

Technology

The server is written in Rust with the Actix-web framework and stores data in PostgreSQL. The pages use HTMX and Pico CSS, served from our own server.
