Terms of Service
Effective date: October 16, 2026
1. Who runs this service
Poker with Friends is a private poker app for a small group of friends. It is run by Sudopop (the "operator", "we"). You can reach the operator at business@sudopop.io. By creating an account or using the app you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
2. Who can use it
- You must be 18 years of age or older. You confirm this when you register. We disable accounts that belong to anyone under 18.
- One account per person. Do not share your account or let someone else play for you.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything done with your account.
3. Balances
Balances track amounts among friends. The platform does not hold, settle or pay out money. No real-money wagering happens through the app.
- Your balance is a number the app keeps so a group of friends can keep score. It has no cash value and cannot be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged through the app.
- The app does not take payments, does not hold funds for anyone and does not pay anything out. Amounts shown with a "$" sign are a scorekeeping unit only.
- Any arrangement you make with other players outside the app is between you and them. The operator is not a party to it and does not enforce, settle or guarantee it.
- An admin may adjust balances, for example to correct a mistake. Every change is kept in the ledger.
- When you delete your account, your balance is not paid out.
4. Fair play
- Do not collude with other players, share hole cards, use more than one account, or use bots or other software to play for you.
- Do not exploit bugs. Report them to business@sudopop.io instead.
- Games have a turn clock. If you do not act in time, the app checks for you when a check is allowed and folds your hand otherwise. A host or an admin can also move a stalled game along.
- Hands are dealt and settled by the server under the rules on the Rules page.
5. Chat and conduct: zero tolerance
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Do not post content that is harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, violent, discriminatory, illegal, or that shares another person's private information. Do not spam.
- You can report any chat message and block any user. Admins review every report.
- Admins remove objectionable messages and disable the accounts of users who post them.
- A filter hides some offensive words automatically. It does not replace reporting.
6. What other members can see
Any signed-in member can watch games in progress and read the history of finished hands: the board, the actions, the cards shown at showdown and the chat messages, both live and in archived games. Folded and mucked cards stay private. Only seated players and admins can post chat messages. Your username and avatar are visible to other members.
7. Ending your account
- You can delete your account at any time from your profile. See the Privacy Policy for what is erased and what is kept.
- We may disable or delete an account that breaks these terms, with or without notice.
- We may stop running the app at any time.
8. No warranty and limits of liability
The app is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. It may have bugs, lose data or be unavailable. To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from arrangements between players. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. iOS app
If you use the iOS app, these terms are between you and the operator, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide support for it.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. We will show the new effective date on this page, and continued use means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and the United States.
